The Local History Room is open on Wednesday and Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. and is located in the Flat Rock Public Library adjacent to the museum. The daughters of Winne Hamilton donated her life-long collection of local historical materials and photos to the Flat Rock Public Library. With volunteers and support from the Flat Rock Historical Society, the collection was made available to the public on October 4, 2003. Additional family research and obituaries are being added on a regular basis. Visit during our hours or arrange a special visit by contacting Lila Fedokovitz at (734) 782-1269.

3. Explore the archives of the Historical Society.

The Flat Rock Historical Society archives are located in the basement of the Munger General Store Museum. Here you will find an extensive collection of photographs, maps, and other documentary materials for you to review. This collection is available to view on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or by special appointment by calling (734) 782-5220.
